Shades of Gray

We had two days to get in and get out of a house in Stratford, PEI this week. The home owners took ownership of the house the evening before, and went right to work ripping up floors and washing down walls. The walls on the main floor were a tan color, with a brown accent wall around the fireplace. The master bedroom was a minty green...and visible from the living room.

The owners picked Classic Gray for the entire main area: living room, kitchen, and hallway. The master bedroom was a few darker in Thunder. It resulted in a more cohesive look on the main floor, cool and calming. The house was still undergoing renovations when we left, so pictures will come soon!

Hope to see everyone at the Harvest Festival

Well, it has been a busy July for the Caseley's Painting crew, but we have also been working on our booth for the Kensington Harvest Festival in August.

We have been brainstorming ideas on what prizes to give away, how to make the booth the most awesome one there. If anyone has a really cool idea for a prize, let me know.

Plus, it gives us an excuse to get some new Caseley's Painting swag.

Come see us in our booth in August at the Harvest Festival!

Before and After: A Red Barn Gets New Life

Before:

If you've travelling the Blue Shank Road, you've seen this barn. It's located on a beautiful farm property, and the barn itself looks like something out of a farm scene framed and hanging on someones wall. In this case, the iconic red barn needed a good scraping and a fresh coat of paint. All Caseley's Painting needed was a few good scrapers and a few days of good weather.

After:

The weather held out for us, and a had some great help getting this barn scraped and ready to paint. We hauled out Lucille and went to work on staining the shingles with the sprayer.  We are glad for the weather, because we think it turned out really well!

Speeding up with Spraying

There is no doubt about it, spraying a house instead of painting by hand is A LOT faster. What would normally have taken me a two days to complete took a morning...including a trip into town to buy more paint. My new sprayer is my new best friend.

I had a supervisor today, this little guy was watching my every move.

White Oak Cellars

White Oak Cellars, formerly The Home Brew Shoppe recently opened their doors, and Caseley's Painting was pleased to be a part of the crew that put together the new space.
